Daily Positive Affirmations for Kids who Need a Boost
Positive Affirmations for Kids: The Low Down
Positive affirmations for kids can help boost a child’s confidence, increase focus and create an overall happier life. If your child can talk, they can do them (they’re that simple) and insanely effective!
What are affirmations?
An affirmation is an affirming statement used to create a positive experience.
How do I create positive affirmations for kids?
Think about what your child wants to achieve. Focus on that positive outcome and build the affirmation off of that. Make sure the affirmation is positive. For instance, you don’t want to say, “I am not worried”. Instead, “I am calm and in control”.

How should my kids say affirmations?
Kids affirmations can be said aloud or in the mind. Your child can say them while looking in a mirror or with their eyes closed. The key element to successful kids affirmations is repetition. I suggest saying the positive affirmations for kids 21 times, 3 times a day. Ideally, once before school (or in the morning), after school and then again before bed.
Why should I implement affirmations for kids?
Simple, they work! The repetition of the positive affirmations overrides any subconscious setback or negative thoughts. For instance, it’s hard for your child to think, “I’m dumb”, if they’re is affirming, “I am smart” as his/her affirmation.

Kids Affirmations have been a game charger for my kids overall mood and anxiety. My son will actually remind me if we forget to say our affirmations. He loves saying them and if I dare say something negative, he will tell me to “stop saying negative affirmations”. He believes in them and he knows they work. Eventually, we stepped up our affirmation game by incorporating meditation into our evenings (you can find a meditation for kids guide here).
I like to have my kids say the same affirmation for a week straight. We focus the affirmation on whatever they want to work on that week. It takes 21 days to create a habit, so start out with the goal of saying affirmations with your kids for 3 weeks.
Week 1: “I can do great things”
Week 2: “I have everything I need within me”
Week 3: “I like myself and I love being me”
